10 Things I Want to Do By the End of My Summer:
(D-Day is August 26th, when school starts again :))
- Read the stack of books by my bed. A handful of the titles include the following:
- The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, Junot Diaz – book-club book
- Feel, Matthew Elliot – new devo book, great so far
- The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, Shaffer & Barrows – comes highly recommended
- The rest of The City of Ember series – just taught the first book for summer school. I found the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th one at Half-Price Books for just a few dollars. :) Yes, they’re middle school level but sooo charming.
- Handmade Nation, Levine and Heimerl – a book by authors of one of my favorite blogs to follow. Oh-so-dorky, I know. I have crafting in my blood. You should see the things my mom has and can make.
- Complete Troy’s OSU-inspired crocheted blanket…that I started in December. Ha. And make a custom painting for his oh-so-bare apartment. :)
- Lose 5lbs…or more. Not against that concept either.
- Get on a regular sleep schedule. Must be getting at least 7 hours of sleep (in a row) before school starts again.
- Give up Diet Coke. For a year, I think. The addiction is out of control!
- See the following movies:
- Away We Go
- 500 Days of Summer
- Time Traveler’s Wife (I LOVED THIS BOOK)
- Funny People
- Away We Go
- Run Dublin’s Irish Festival 4-miler with this lovely.
- Vacation with the family in the mountains of New York and finally see my wonderful sister. We’ll be staying on Lake George, meaning gorgeousness.
- Prepare for the school year. Taking over yearbook class this year. Yikes.
- Get to a Reds’ game. I can’t believe we haven’t seen one yet! Only went to Indians’ game thus far. Man, sadness.

Losing weight is easy! Just eat less and exercise more. It sounds basic because… it is!
