a super creative christmas gift.

This seriously unique Christmas gift was featured on Promise Tangeman’s blog. Her friends Andrew and Carissa “have a no-christmas-gift agreement this year. Instead they chose to support a beautiful little friend from Uganda, Betty.” Therefore, they created this lovely video (using SUFJAN’S SISTER WINTER – one of my FAVORITE songs on his Christmas album!!) and sent it out to friends as a virtual card/gift. According to Gail Grossman Freyne, the most important spiritual question “of our time comes in the form of an answer: ‘If you want to be perfect, go home, sell all that you have,…then come back and follow me’ (Matt 19:21).” Check out this book. The verdict is still out for me as I have only read a little bit and haven’t decided if the credentials, purpose, and doctrine that it’s based on are legit. Then again, who am I to say what is or what is not admissible? A great, hearty chapter to read in that book is Freyne’s, though…especially for this perfectionist.

all my Teitur music has been on repeat lately. good study/reading/writing music.

ever feel like all the goals, aspirations and dreams you have couldn’t possible pack in to one lifetime? sometimes I feel like a little creative bug is constantly buzzing around in my head, wondering if I’ll ever get to all the lovely things I’d like to. do priorities always trump desires? or is the point for them to coincide and co-exist? hmm.

he’ll always be my hero and undoubtedly the source of most of my traits, the endearing and infuriating ones.

p.s. maybe I’m a sap (or just hate when dogs die in movies) but the movie Turner and Hooch gets me every time.
